A very good bourbon that starts out light, but progresses through a multitude of flavors, then finishes strong.

The bouquet is super sweet with the classic bourbon alcohol smell that prepares you for a classy bourbon. Starts with sweet, sugary start with hints of brown sugar, and is so smooth that the transition takes you a bit by a warm surprise. Oak flavors begin manifesting that are teamed with lots of spice. The middle builds then nicely moves to flavors of orange and sugar. The finish is long and pleasant.

Not a bourbon for beginners! Definitely complex with flavors through out, from start to a lingering finish.

Starts out hard and fast with an aggressive mix of charred oak and caramel, but fades quickly to more subtle tones of vanilla, and some orange/citrus to finish it off. The finish hangs on, but is not overbearing. A slow, comfortable bourbon that can be enjoyed over ice, but would probably be more preferable mixed in a good ol' bourbon and coke.

Great tasting bourbon from a local distillery in Lenexa, Kansas. Spicy notes at first sip with a "creamy" middle and strong citrus hints in the end. Easily one of the most satisfying and complex bourbons I've enjoyed. — 7 years ago

This is a bourbon that I just had to try based on the many recommendations from friends and acquaintances. I'm not sure if it was just my palate, but I'm not sure that it lived up to the hype.

The bourbon was smooth, no doubt, but as crazy as it sounds, was almost too smooth. I felt, in lack of a better wording.. Let down. Not by not living up to the hype, but by lacking depth. It started with an oak rich flavor that screams bourbon, but quickly transitions to caramel notes. It's what comes next that left me perplexed .. it faded out, leaving me wanting more. How could it start out so strong, flavorful, inviting but yet missing something. A good bourbon, but not great.

In closing, it's not all "doom and gloom". It's obviously a pick of many others, but just not for me. Would I buy it again? No. Would I drink it over many other bourbons? Absolutely. A true 7.5 out of 10 bourbon.
