2006 vintage. I was absolutely wowed as it opened up (I love a lot of wines, but am not frequently “wowed,”). Such complexity and balance. Red and black cherry, and blackberry, baking spices, dried herbs, and pepper. Soft tannins and great acidity. Floral rose petals and it was earthy with notes of leather, pipe tobacco, and moist soil. I am a blend of grateful and sad and I poured the last bit into my glass :-) and :-( — 3 years ago
