While this is made in a more modern style this needs 7-10 to show its better self. Shows taunt fine grain, dry tannins. Dark tart cherries, juicy strawberries, touch of raspberries, plum, dry tobacco, soft new leather, dry herbs, dark spice, some white pepper, limestone, dry crushed rock powder w/ some grain, mid berry cola, tea, red/pink roses, nice acidity, well; knitted, balanced, structured, mid tone, good length and nicely polished finish that lasts 90 seconds and lands on dry earth & tobacco. 92-94. — 6 days ago

So stealth. From a mid-shoulder bottle of light color. Even the nose doesn't give it away. Great layers of blood, roast, earth and spice. Fruit be damned (ok some stewed) lovely balance of acid and tannins -well-knit and harmonious. — 10 years ago

Started out more herbal. Opens up with air to old school, barnyard funk, tobacco, and dried cherry. Juicy, fresh, straight forward. Tannins are firm. Good QPR on a solid vintage. Decant or hold for a few more years. — 9 years ago
