Best Chianti that we have had. Really soft palate with a hint of fruity but still full robustness of a Chianti that you would expect. — 9 years ago
This is the first time I've had this Rasenna wine. I am actually THOROUGHLY impressed by this wine. The nose is sweet, tropical fruit. The entry has the SLIGHTEST HINT of effervescence. Tropical fruit, rounded, rich. Acidity is actually rather low. The middle gains a little bit of kiwi and a lemon creme brulee. Finishes with vibrant tropical mango and guava, grapefruit, acidity really still in check. This one went well with grilled pork and a salad consisting of cheddar cheese, apples, nuts, shallots, cilantro and kale topped with an Italian Cilantro dressing, but it also went very well with NOTHING. I would love to try this entire lineup, and perhaps with the next round I will! Combo of 30 Trebbiano, 30 Grechetto, 20 Malvasia, 15 Verdelho, and 5 Drupeggio — 7 years ago
Had loads of IGT whites local from Lazio while in Roma....delicious examples of the random use of grapes outside the DOC or DOCG — 9 years ago
