Try to catch up on a big backlog...
This was a nice Veneto piece (not that Bepi ever sucks). Kind of like a Valpolicella Ripasso with a Bdx Adrenalin shot. Still pimping purity and expression, but with just that little bit of added depth and tannin. And super affordable for a Quintarelli. Perfetto with Osso Bucco. — 7 years ago

I Legni Frassino Grappa Stagionata In Barrique. Pale green-lemon hue. Medium intensity of grapes, nuts and almonds. Solvent spirty, woody notes, vanilla, smoke, varnish, pear drops. With water added, more fruit aromas to the fore, with wood relegated to the background. Matured. On the palate, off dry, warming alcohol, medium body, silky textured. Pronounced flavour intensity of vanilla, vanilla essence, caramelised grapes. Long finish and very complex. Very good. — 11 years ago

Outstanding amarone which has successfully blended power and elegance. Lots of cherry liqueur and marzipan aroma. Raisin flavour with rich and velvety tannins. Tasted blind and went for hot vintage in southern Rhone. — 11 years ago

Fantastic, Rosso Del Bepi shows up only when its not to the level of the title Amarone. Still, round, ready earlier than Amarone. Flavor of plum, dried black cherry, power, blueberry, full body that matched greatly with gnocchi calabresa — 11 years ago
