2016 Las Suertes is a gorgeous barrel fermented Verdejo with tons of charm and character and a fair amount of complexity. Prettier and more fine-etched than expected on the palate, it shows soft fruit of honeydew melon and white peach with a succulent key lime note on the finish tinged with subtle minerality. Aromatically it suggests ripe orchard fruit and citrus blossoms with a hint of fresh coriander. More air reveals a slight tropical nuance. Nearly weightless on the palate, this is a very fresh and cleansing white that will provide an excellent counterpoint to marinated shrimp and grilled fish dishes. — 7 years ago

It's a hot night & im having some beautiful Sherpa & goats milk based cheeses & my reliable pal Jorge Ordonez has this promising White Viura packaged under the Borsao label (very trusty old vine Garnacha!). Wow! This wine was perfect. A little bit of barrel aging kissed with a scent of citrus but full of beautiful fruit with a perfect mellow acid backbone give this wine a structure that is far superior to its $8 price.... I don't know how long one can shelf this stuff but buy a case for summer quaffing.... A great wine! Thank you Jorge & to Leonardo Loscasio... Thanks for supporting Jorge's selections! — 11 years ago
