Dust, tar, dark cherry, white pepper, and anise on the nose. The same flavors come through on the palate with balsamic and fresh mushrooms emerging as well. Smooth and lush on the palate, and the tannins and acidity are beautifully balanced. Persistent finish but a little drying on the palate. Overall a pleasure to drink. I bet this will be great after a few years when those tertiary flavors are more developed. — 9 days ago

From magnum. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2021 pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the make, the wine is developing with notes of cherry, cranberry, pomegranate, red flowers, licorice and a mix of cool and warm spices. On the palate the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Well made. Drink now through 2036. — 3 months ago

Glorious nose of ethereal cherries and heroic levels of spice. Lots of humidor aromas and cigar box. Awesome. Needs air for florals but hints developing. Palate is young but the quality is there. Juicy with great acids and some opulent amplitude in the mid palate with top notch finesse and terrific tannins and structure. Very ripe tannins But elegant all the way through.
