You give Merlot a good name! Just spectacular. They will never make enough of this. So glad to have a private viewing again a few weeks ago. One of my favorite merlots. @Sean Capiaux — 6 years ago

Despite the consensus of critical acclaim (92WA, 92WS), I was skeptical going in to this. It didn't take long for that skepticism to evaporate. There's lots to like here. Richly styled with lip smacking spiced cherry, dry loam, vanilla, and a distinctively floral forest floor. Jeb Dunnuck says "At 30 bucks, I'm hard pressed to come up with a better value in Pinot Noir." I can think of a couple under $40 (Rivers-Marie and Capiaux), but this is definitely a strong effort. — 10 years ago

Rich, dark fruit aromas. Smooth tastes of plum, blackberries and black cherries. Medium finish with a hint of spice. Excellent New World styled Pinot Noir. — 8 years ago
This is intense - black currant and dried black currant with stewed mint. — 9 years ago
One of my favorite Cabs out there. This is still super young, but it was still a delicious. Sean Capiaux really delivers a lot of depth out of this mountain fruit without overloading it with tannin. Maybe the best deal on Cab in Napa. — 12 years ago
A little gem from Olivia Capiaux . Killer old vine chenin from Napa. Bright fresh with just the right touch of richness! — 6 years ago
Amazing to drink this wine 12 years after helping the master Sean Capiaux make it! Still young and intense, great concentration, long finish. Inky soy sauce and still full of raspberry and blueberry fruit... — 7 years ago
Another Great wine Sean. I do think I like Gary’s a little more it’s got a more coco flavor and nice and rich but this was very tasty. It’s always a pleasure to be drinking someone’s wine who you see the passion in each step. Love to see the hard work involved at OShaunessey. — 8 years ago

The mighty Pisoni Vineyard produces some very compelling Pinot Noir. It’s hard to pick it early because the signature of the site seems to develop later. I liked it. Not to take any of the winemaking for granted it seemed fully ripe but had an acid tang I was surprised by. More time in bottle might grind that down. I’d dance to it — a year ago
