Developed red with ochre pigment. Cherrystone, rosehippy and briary, some sous bois and earthy aromas. Linear, precise, not too much showy or expressive, reserved, with a good inner balance. A bit too narrow and shallow to be at a good burgundy level but good enough. — 10 years ago

Les Romains. 2012. Great balls of acid. Nose is spring + clothes out on the line and wild flowers. Front palate minerally and cushy - part way thru end of mid acid attack kicks in and after that finish its big ole ball of underripe Granny Smith acid. Great persistence (albeit a little mouth numbing). Gonna let this lady open up over a few days - would definitely seek this out again and let it have a handful of (or many more!) deserved years layin' down 😎 — 11 years ago
