2017 vintage. Another spectacular Suduiraut. The 140 g/l residual sugar is balanced by the fresh acidity. Michael Broadbent used to say that Suduiraut always looks older than its age, but this bright golden colour shows no signs of age. Beautifully complex nose with pineapple and vanilla, flowers, beeswax, cinnamon and lemon confit. Opulent, rich and fresh at the same time, impressively layered and intense, with an extraordinarily long finish. A fabulous meditation wine that is amazingly affordable too. Abv. 14%. — 4 days ago

Closed fruity/ mineral nose. Palate at first closed, even dilute; then stronger white fruit, good acid, sturdy minerals; improves after an hour. 2015 vintage. 37,5 cl bottle. Golden colour. Intense perfume with caramel, roasted nuts, dried pineapple and orange peel. The idea is a more accessible style of Sauternes that could work as an aperitif, but after 10 years, this has beautifully evolved into something more complex and rich, while refreshing acidity keeps the sweetness in check.
