Samuel Tinon Birtok Dry Furmint, Tokaj-Hegyalja, Hungary - 2016. All I know is IIke it. The acid, the saltiness, the easy sipping. 13% alc. paired with chicken baked in garlic, butter, salt and pepper, fresh lemon, and a dash of this wine. Perfect. Lighter than a Chardonnay, heavier than a Chenin. Bone dry. — 7 years ago

Also funky Chenin reminiscent. More acidic than the Birtok vineyard but it works well. The volcanic soil is really showing through! Totally digging this style of furmint. — 11 years ago
Fantastic natural Pinot Noir from Balatonmelleki, Hungary. Very light at 11.5% abv, acidic and vibrant. Had it for Christmas Eve dinner with filet mignon in mushroom red wine sauce, roasted potatoes and asparagus. @Delectable Wine Bencze Birtok is the producer — 6 years ago

Aromatic, austere fruit and dry as a bone, reminds me of a Santorini Assyrtiko except perhaps a touch mineral. Good stuff. — 10 years ago
Apricot bomb, not overly acidic. — 2 years ago

Hi, is your Riesling dry? Hell yes. Whoa. A young wine already showing notes of petrol. It's not what you expect, but it is beautifully made. Makes you think. — 10 years ago
A bit sweeter than I was expecting from 3 Puttonyos; rich and heady. — 11 years ago
