Superb. Red berries, herbal, taught acidity. — 3 months ago
Bold, oaky. The oak overpowered the fruit. Had it over two days and it did not change. (Used Vacuvin to store it). — 7 months ago
Yummy. Pairs well with “Cover Story” investigative journalism podcast. — 3 years ago
Happy New Year Delectable!
It's a pinot noir new year (Clos De La Roche, Donum west slope pinot, Schramsberg blanc de noir) with an oven roasted chicken dinner!
Double decant and pour the Clos de la Roche. A formidable medium ruby red color. On the nose: spicy cherry, forest floor, slight menthol, raspberry, mushrooms. Taste: smooth, creamy, lush, structured wine with cherry, gamey, minerals, and a spiced strawberry medium plus dry still some tannins kicking finish. Nice start to the night. Cheers! — 4 years ago

Pop and pour. A breathtaking medium ruby red color. On the nose: cloves, cinnamon, cherry, lemon rind, slight scorched earth. Taste: smooth, juicy, layered wine with tart cherry, earthy mushrooms, orange peel, spice, and a gravelly tea finish. YUM! West Slope my fav of the Donum lineup. — 3 years ago

Taste: A smooth, creamy, rich, nicely structured wine with dark cherry, cola, ruby red grapefruit, some earth, and a spiced tart plum finish. YUM! — 4 years ago
