🎇🎉New Year's Eve 2021🎉🎇 🍾Cheers to the Delectable Community🥂
4H Decant.
24H Update: Nose has black cherry & mulberry compote, strawberry jam, dried blueberries and dry garden soil. Palate has ripe dark fruits, minor cedar notes, plum skin with fine tannins, such generous fruit, a pleasure to drink! Score update from 9.2 to 9.3 today, likely even better in several years.
Some background on the trifecta of Meo Bourgogne Rouge starting with the 2018 vintage; producer notes for Bourgogne Côte d'Or Rouges:
2018 Cuvée Etienne Camuzet: Sourced from Domaine owned vines, primarily from Chambolle-Musigny & Vosne-Romanée.
2018 Hémisphère Nord: Sourced from mostly Domaine owned vines from the Côte de Nuits: Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanée & Vougeot.
2018 Hémisphère Sud: Sourced from rented vines from the Côte de Beaune, specifically Pommard.
Aged 12 to 15 months in barrel (very little new oak), 2 to 3 months in stainless steel before bottling. — 4 years ago
