I kinda laugh when people hold up Lioco and Idlewild as great examples of wine from Mendocino. Graziano Family of Wines have been doing "New California" long before the hip New-Cal wineries in Mendocino began to appear. Let's have some respect for the history there. Anyway, this 2011 Aglianico is SEAMLESS. That's the only way to describe it in sum. The nose had nice fruit compote, Clay, oak, salinity. Palate is medium+, balanced, and again, seamless. Low pH around 3.45, high TA. Aged two years in French oak. Cost: 21 dollars wine club pricing. — 11 years ago

D*** good Barbera—bright, acidic, and bursting with cherries and spice. Lovely with food — 7 years ago
Blueberries, floral notes abound, soft with some chewiness, low tannin core. Good mid range Carignan — 10 years ago

Very massican. Round mouthfeel with a nutty character. Almost approaching orange territory. I like it — 4 years ago
Lovely rose with a bit more complexity and less acidic bright fruit than the typical rose. Well-balanced dryness. — 6 years ago
Wow delightful and refreshing. Lemon/rind and mineral. Get some! — 7 years ago
2nd wine from Evan Lewendowski we have enjoyed, just as great as the first. Had for Alanna’s birthday at Bar Mezzana, so happy they had this wine!! Incredible contrast from Idlewild Cortese. Same grapes, same vineyard, polar opposite wines. — 7 years ago
Absolutely love this wash of fennel, blackberries and tobacco on the finish bucking a fruit-forward raspberry hint on the nose and juicy first look. This CA Rhône blend is superb west coast funk right up there with Idlewild in crafting old world varietals in a new light. A truly unique gem, a must-have head-scratcher for the cellar. Absolutely love that Bonny Doon is able to do this at low ABV—the funk is all from the grapes and not from the kick. — 8 years ago

Another new one, unusual Cali Cortese with 12 years. Color on the yellow amber side and nose with mature notes with a touch of oxidation. Balanced on palate — 7 months ago
