Wow this is delicious! I paid $40 but would pay $100. Mellow nose but I get ripe plum up front and oak in the back. Very balanced throughout. More plum, slight cherry and touch of oak on palate. Low acidity. This is quintessential Bordeaux! — 8 days ago
Medium garnet , medium garnet rim . Aromatic , and slightly funky nose , with herbal, cedar , sous bois , truffle . On the palate this is slightly strict , quite high acidity , slightly gritty tannin , mix of red and dark fruits , herbal tinges , tobacco and earthy finish . Quite linear and elegant . Perhaps slightly rustic , not particularly ambitious but classic ‘gentleman’s club’ claret. Though this is showing quite a lot of tertiary character it is still drinking well , drink now and over the next 5 or so years — 8 days ago
Surprisingly young presentation of dark fruit that is now integrated with cedar, graphite and some smoke. No signs of decay although I felt that this wine is at its zenith and worth drinking soon if you have some in your cellar — 4 days ago
Quite light spices , coffee , sous bois , herbal hints . On the palate this has good density and spicy , menthol , dark coffee stained fruit , some slightly gritty tannin . It comes across as quite ripe but with balanced acidity and quite good menthol tinged length . This was served blind from a half bottle . I was putting this in the 80s and Napa , not Bordeaux! This had to do with the texture and quite ripe , generous fruit profile . Drinking perfectly now , I wouldn’t wait any longer — 8 days ago
2022 vintage. Beautiful special label by Bordeaux artist Anaïs Vindel to celebrate Denis Lurton's 30 years at the head of Desmirail. The oak seems a bit more toasted than usual, but it is well-integrated. More weight compared to the excellent 2016, this will need time, but might turn out to be the best Desmirail ever. Abv. 13%. Conservative score for now. — 10 days ago

The US is now their #1 export market. You would be surprised at what some producers spend on labels. It is more than you think. All those countries, languages and different requirements for what needs to be written on them.
I think this is in a dumb faze or just closed down.
The nose is muted and not all that revealing. Soft blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, strawberries with powdery raspberries. Clayish soils, some clove, dark earth, very light herbs, notes of baking soda, sandalwood and dark withering flowers.
The palate is a little flat..showing stubbornness. Ripe but dullish; blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, strawberries & raspberries. Dry clayish soils, dry top soil, limestone minerals, dark spice, clove, dark, rich earth, very light herbs, notes of baking soda, sandalwood that falls into cedar, soft tobacco with dark withering flowers and violets, its acidity is very good, the finish while balanced, polished, somewhat elegant, lacks some complexity today and lasts a minute.
I would reserve a full assessment of this one tasting it again in 5+ years. It is in need of further evolution. — a day ago
