Pierre François Côteaux du Vendômois Red Blend 2023

This is very nice! 70% Pineau d'Aunis, 20% Pinot Noir, 10% Gamay. So light and easy to drink. The prominent fruit is red cherry with a bit of strawberry, add to it some leather and rosehip. Drinks very much like a Langhe Nebbiolo, at least to my amateur palate. This would have been terrific at the holiday gatherings. I'm guessing this cuvee is the little brother to the one recently posted by @Doug Powers

We have a liquor super store called Binny's in the Midwest, which has a pretty good supply. @Doug Powers

Pinot d' Aunis you really can't beat it! A well made Grolleau from the Loire has similar qualities to it. Not quite as peppery though 🍷🇨🇵

I will have to add that to my repertoire @Tegan Marriott

They fucking killed Colin Farrell? Almost as disappointing as the cork issue with this '06. — 11 years ago

Pierre François Coteaux du Vendômois Pineau d'Aunis Blend 2018

Nose has metallic blackberry, white pepper, ripe plum, prune and baking spices.

Palate has tart plum, dried blackberry, white pepper on mashed black cherries and potting soil. Medium body, light minerality, medium finish. Nice wine, young, could really benefit from a few years of proper resting.

60% Pineau d’Aunis / 30% Pinot Noir / 10% Cabernet Franc

A solid pairing with local (Jacüterie/Hudson Valley, NY) British Bangers on the grill tonight, peppery wine with well spiced, fresh sausage, yum!

La Cuvée du Pépé Chardonnay

@Colin Nuckolls This may be one of the most interesting chardonnays I have tasted. Love the long finish! Sherry and nutty on the palate. Really great wine experience! — 10 years ago
