I'm not sure if there is a better cab. Ramey is close but more expensive. The nose is ripe red fruit leather and tobacco. The flavor is balanced and smooth. With a clean finish. A perfect pairing with a steak dinner or blue cheese and antipasta — 12 years ago
Lovely, aged Victorian merlot. Rich dark summer fruits. Simply gorgeous — 4 years ago
Great value. Drank it over two evenings. Went great with pizza and Italian sausage. — 11 years ago
Got last 2007 bottle from Tim's for $18. Drank like a 30+ easily. Great bottle! — 12 years ago

Deep red/black color with a thin garnet meniscus. Aromas of petroleum (in a good way), ripe and dried black fruit, dried violets, leather and cedar. Flavors of graphite/iron, dried blackberries, black currants, smoked meat, dried blueberries, tobacco and Asian spices. Hint of black pepper on the long and drawn out finish. Soft tannins and well balanced acidity. Medium bodied, rich and plush. Extremely savory and best with food. Well aged bottle. It was time to enjoy it. Appreciate the gift, Mark S! — 18 days ago
