Bought at The Wine Hut. Super bright, fruity. — 7 years ago
Fantastic wine. Just crazy good for price point, and a special angle on Nebbiolo. Apparently the grapes grow on such a steep hill the pickers need mountain climbing skills to get them. — 7 years ago
Made in Martinborough NZ by Japanese perfectionist Hiro Kusuda. At vintage time he flies out a team of pickers from Japan who inspect each and every grape before crushing. A light to medium bodied Syrah with white pepper and ginger notes - also dried meat. On palate you can actually taste the pepper. Love this style of wine. Cannot see a long cellaring future however. Lovers of big Barossa styles may not like this. With a little more mid palate fruit I would have scored 96+. Very much like another Kiwi Syrah - Te Mata Bullnose from Hawkes Bay - one of my faves - also loads of white pepper. — 8 years ago
Im offenausschank und vorher noch auf delectable gecheckt. Bei den noten dachte ich erst dass es nicht ganz der gleiche wein von diesem produzenten sein kann. Nach dem zweiten schluck allerdings schon! Wow! Einfach wow! Feinfruchtig, weisse blüten, birnen, etwas minze, im gaumen weich, rund, südfrüchtig mit leichter mineralität. Hut ab! — 9 months ago
Polished domestic Merlot. Very savory on the nose. Almost classic Bordeaux in style , green olive and olive tapenade. Oregano and thyme with just a hint of oak hut not overly in your face. Beautiful inky hue. Lots of great tannin and acidity on the backbone of this wine. Plenty of room to keep aging. Blackberries and blueberries upfront. Fantastic finish that lingers without feeling big heat. Very well balanced at 14.5% — 3 years ago
Très beau Chablis de Christian Moreau encore une fois, tout en finesse et fraîcheur, des notes de fruits jaunes surtout, bouteille plus évoluée que la dernière par contre mais encore très bon.
Very nice Clos des Hospices again, yellow orchard fruit, bottle seemed to have more age than the last one hut still gorgeous finesse, freshness and elegance. — 5 years ago
Great light crisp wine on a hut summer day. Nice to drink sitting outside enjoying the weather. — 8 years ago
Nose is cranberry, spice and mulberry. So different than what Thorle is doing today. Love this style but also love the newer style. What a winery! Some herbs, some limestone aromas and sour cherry. Very complex. Palate is energetic and to be honest a bit of an herbal streak that I love but others might not. No green from 18 on for this bottling. I am betting it goes away with air. Palate is lush and energetic with terrific purity and depth. Good freshness and depth hut seems thing compared to what they are doing now. Sour and early season cherry fruit and super velvety tannins. Let’s see what happens with air. — 2 years ago
Sweet hut not overly so, perfect for day/ pre-meal — 5 years ago
Decanted for a hour. Amazing! Plum, BlackBerry, violet, hibiscus, leather, tar, and a touch of smoke. 80% Barbera and 20% Nebbiolo. So freaking good. And definitely overkill for pizza hut stuffed crust pizza Haha — 7 years ago
Nice grape fragrant, and smooth to drink — 7 years ago
Oriole with Cici, Kathleen, Lauren . Rich hut nit tannic. Great. — 8 years ago
Really enjoying this cotes du Rhône. Lovely flavour, perhaps too quick a finish, enjoyable nonetheless. — 8 years ago

Whoa, what a sneaky wine. Very subtle upfront and then an explosion of citrus, passionfruit flavors all in perfect harmony. — 7 months ago
