Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90 minutes. The 2013 pours a deep garnet with an opaque core and a rusty brown rim; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and significant sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with desiccated dark fruit, salmiakki, leather, espresso, and a Maillard reaction thing. On the palate, the wine is dry it’s high tannin and medium acid at best…probably medium-. The finish is medium. Drink now. — 6 months ago

A very pleasant well balanced wine that displays subtle fruit and mild tannins.

This was a very pleasant surprise, versatile red that can probably pair well with many casual weeknight dinners. Not too fruity, not overly complex. Just overall pleasing. — 6 years ago
Earthiness, dark red fruit, spicey, medium tannins, green characteristics and higher end for acidity. Right up my alley — 7 years ago

This certainly had multiple primary aromas and flavors. So not too simple. Easy drinking and approachable. Good. — 5 months ago

The rosato you don't expect..especially from a Magliocco.
Super queffable, but also very complex
Very long finish
Cola, chinotto, incense, licorice, leather, tobacco, definitely balsamic. The fruit is mixed with the mineral. Even the producer is quite astonished about the direction this wine has taken.
I dare to say the label is misleading, firstly cause it looks like an easy, straightforward rose wine and it is not, and secondly cause this is closer to a chilled red than a rose 100%. This could only be sold as a chilled red in Queensland. Very much in the spectrum of an amazing Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo. — 5 days ago
