Apple, lemon, honey, oak, slate, limestone and hints of stone fruit. Good acidity and balance. — 10 years ago

At the Atlantic seaboard review, this bottle had just been opened and showed nicely right out of the bottle. For me, a bit one dimensional yet well composed and balanced. A sure winner to pair with ideal plates, a good value to have on hand. This exemplifies the mid week medium weight Virginia red. Distinct texture/fresh fruit/wood-framing, just in a gentler package :) PS: score is relevant to Francs in Virginia — 7 years ago

What a quality blend at 11 years old proves Nathan knows what he’s doing / while crafting a distinct character fingerprint. The Merlot really carries its weight through the palate - dare I say a stylish right bank format — 24 days ago
