Tres Girard Morey St. Denis Pinot Noir 2016

Last had 2 years ago and the extra time has been good to this. Really a lovely burgundy with some rotisserie chicken on the first snowy day of the season in New York. Red fruit, light earth, and minerality all in balance and expressing very nicely. Finishes with good acid and a real lift. Delicious. — 3 days ago

The 2019 was absolutely delicious. Not too jammy but lip smacking all the same. Glad we have another bottle! — 4 years ago

I keep posting this, it is such a pqr killer! Widely available at around 18€ in the Netherlands. For my palate this is easy on premier/grand cru level. Worth seeking out! — a month ago

"Coeur de Roy" Tres Vieilles Vignes Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir 2000

Still showing a lot of tannic and acidic structure, but enough fruit to keep it in check once it had a few hours of air, youthful still, and brawny. — a year ago

Tres Potz Cahors Malbec 2000

Very dry… like English humour. But it finishes off with a nice earthy and nutty finish. If you like tannins and puckering your lips this is fantastic. — 4 years ago

Tres Sabores

Perspective Rutherford Estate Zinfandel 2019

Muted dark fruits on the nose and palate. White pepper with a touch of cigar box on the finish. Balanced and firm. — 4 years ago

Tres Picos Campo de Borja Garnacha 2022

Notes of raspberry, flint, butter. Medium bodied, feel the sun and the acid, oak tannins, length, with blackberries and raspberries. I think this 2022 would have been in great in 2024. Love garnacha, but I feel I’d better drink it young, almost unoaked. — a month ago

N: Salty dried butterscotch/caramel, Seashore, old boats, rot in the best of ways.
P: Sweet but no… upon entry, the impression is of something unctuous and sweet, for a bit of a second, then DRY. Yellow and gold flowers/melon,
heady at 16°. Great w baby artichokes and Parm and pan seared Branzino.
Varnish lacquer,
Really fine weirdo stuff. I’ve never splurged for the Quattro Palmas…but….
