Ripe plums, vibrant acidity, subtle wood. Alive. From 40yr old Petrus cuttings. — 11 years ago
Wow. Decant 1.5 hours, opened up into a luscious big and rounded blend. Barcelona Restaurant. — 8 months ago
The Tinto Reserva. Rich dark fruit, plum, blackberry, balanced with cedar, forrest floor, and a little green pepper in the background. Mouth watering, smooth and sticky tannin and a youthful, lively, fresh finish. — 4 years ago
Deep red, nose of BlackBerry with hint of cranberry, starts a bit tight and acidic but after several hours of air opens to ripe blackberry and cassis with hint of vanilla oak, lingering finish of black fruit and tea notes. Still young. — 10 years ago
Rich strawberry bouquet, full bodied semi-sweet flavor, has held up extremely well to provide a wonderful pour both on its own and when paired with a sharp cheese. — 2 years ago
This is lovely. 100% merlot. Had I not known it was Spanish, I would have thought this was a Super Tuscan. Subtle oak, minerals, black currant. Very long finish. — 9 years ago
Mature richness. Full body. Strong tannins. Yet a quick finish that I wish lingered longer. — 10 years ago

Terrific value in a balanced and versatile Garnacha. Nose shows very pure, ripe, zesty raspberry and kirsch fruit. A bit of warm, dry gravel. In the mouth there’s a bit more structure than the fruity nose suggests, with bright acids, some very fine grained tannin, and a mineral texture I normally associate with reds grown on limestoney soil. The fruit is augmented with a prominent salinity. Not the most elegant (it’s a little elbowy), but it’s a value weeknight red that will work with lots of foods. — 4 days ago
