Really meaty and mineral driven, almost like jerky flavors, opened with a medium body and then spread out into more fullness as it opened up. — 2 years ago
Light bodied, some tannin, fragrant with herbs and cranberry — 3 years ago
Fantastic value. Mostly dry Riesling and the complexity one expects from such a wine. Would drink again and was a hit for folks who typically have different preferences (good for those who like sweet or dry). — 4 years ago
After three days this wine was finally open. One for the cellar. Germany Pinot has my attention. — 6 years ago
Outstanding single vineyard Spätburgunder from Württemberg. Perfectly ripe, fresh acidity with fine balance of savory and pure red fruit character. The warmth and depth of some of these reds will come as a surprise to many, but they are indeed increasingly high in quality from this rather unheralded subregion. This is a name to watch for in German Pinot Noir, brought to US market by Terry Theise. — 8 years ago
Delicious up front and from behind- refreshing chilled — 10 months ago
High octane Württemberg Spatburgunder with so much soul and complexity. Incredible weight and concentration without sacrificing delicate nuance. Bark, stones, and wild red fruits. Sappy with ripe tannin and lush acidity for the long haul. Snagged a few bottles of this for a song and will try to hold the others if I can keep my hands off of them. This wine has raised German Pinot on the map for me, really good stuff. — 2 years ago
German Pinot Noir. Light, ruby color. Smells leathery, earthy. Spices, slightly tart, acidic. — 5 years ago
Little green for me. I like more fruit in my Riesling. — 6 years ago

Großer Weißer ! — 10 years ago
Incredibly elegant Lemberger from the Bönnigheimer Sonnenberg-Schallenberg vineyard, matured in 1200 Liter acacia wood barrel, finest fruit nuances, very concentrated, juicy, full-bodied, velvety, revealing extreamly many facets with air, with an endless aftertaste, surely even better in 10 years 😍 — a year ago
Bright, citrus, missing some complexity — 2 years ago
Smoke, brett, dark cherry, plum, and anise. Fresh and light but layered with dark mocha, cracked pepper, and barnyard funk. Shorter finish but great flavor profile. — 5 years ago
Light straw color. Nose is tart. Bright. Citrus. Taste is acidic. Dry! Astringent. Full. Lemon. Pear. Like. Green apple. Fresh. — 6 years ago
The 3-star bottling. Nice stuff. — 10 years ago

A salty dog on this go around. Reading less tropical with more lime and slate. Was able to pick a few more and have four more bottles. — a month ago
