Lovely Sangiovese from Romagna. Flavor of jam and cherries it’s rich on the palate yet very pleasant. And pairs really well with meat and rich dishes. — 4 years ago
Decanted off the smoke. Wonderfully mature bottle with pizza. Leather, sweet porcini mushrooms, syrupy balsamic, oregano and roasted thyme. <40$. A joy to drink. — 8 years ago
Luv! The Riesling here gives it acidity and zip, and how interesting is it to see Riesling in Romagana! Thanks Enrico! — 10 years ago

Surprisingly earthy and complex for an Italian Pinot Noir. Not sure I’ve had a better one. — 9 years ago

A blend of 55% Sangiovese, 30% Uva Longanesi, and 15% Cabernet Franc aged 28 months in French oak barriques and for another 36 months on bottle before release. Unfiltered. Very limited production, about 1,200 bottles. This Gran Riserva have a charming nose with black plum, chocolate, licorice, sweet tobacco, juniper berries flavors. In mouth this wine is expansive, medium- to full-bodied, good tannins, a fine supporting acidity and a long finish. — 13 years ago
Drei Donà ‘Riserva Palazza’ Sangiovese Superiore 2015: Medium-bodied. Elegant structure & balance. Nice acidity. Black cherry. Cranberry. Dried herbs. Tobacco. Earth. Long finish. Consisting of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, this Cuvèe blew my expectations away. Strong complex flavors which evolved beautifully as the evening progressed. I will definitely seek more bottles out as this is one wine I need to buy more of. An obvious winner from Predappio in Emilia-Romagna. Great day to all! Cheers🍷 — 3 years ago
Super impressive. Very old world — 6 years ago
One of the treasures of Emília Romagna at Osteria Riva $150. Quite full and robust following the 2000 Marzieno Zerbina which preceded it $130, which blew Andy away - reminded him of ancient Hill of Grace - thinner, closer to the end of its life but much finer style, while the 2005 from the previous week ($120) can probably survive a few more years. — 9 years ago

Amazing mineral wine with some backbone. Almost 2 years on the lees gives you a creamy and buttery texture, with notes of ripe yellow stonefruit, hay, quince and some nutty and waxy tones in the end. Drink now and enjoy — 5 months ago
