2005 Woodward Canyon Special Selection
Wow, what a wine. A wine they make twice a decade in the most special vintages. A blend of cab, petit verdot and merlot that sees 200% new american oak. This means they put the wine in a new oak barrel and leave it for a year or so and than they rack it into a second new oak barrel for another year or so. It is a huge and decadent wine. It makes no apologies. Will you find unique terroir and sense of place? Hell no. But you will be giving your taste buds an amazing treat. Like firing a fully automatic 50 caliber machine gun. Its downright wrong to like it but it is still super fun and something you will never forget. Yes, that is how much I like this wine.
13 years old and not a dip in sight. Just entering its optimum drinking window now. I will drink this over the next 7 years and I will love every sip. — 7 years ago

Pretty early to be cracking this one open, but all the signs it will continue to mature over time. Ruby red, medium+ viscosity, stewed blackberries, healthy dose of tannins and a somewhat surprising amount of alcohol mean this wine is ready to age. Paired well with baked sausage and chard with lemon zest. — 9 years ago
Not the blend….but the Laurence Reserve Cab Sav. Excellent. At the winery. — 3 years ago
A little funk at the end, but in a good way. Sweet, but not over. — 7 years ago
2014 tasted 12/2018. Full bodied dark crimson, tremendous concentration. Very ripe bramble fruit dominates the nose, followed by hints of vanilla. Ripe black fruit, dry, silky tannins on the palate. Again the concentration is superb, high alcohol at 14.8% but it is balanced by the fruit and a good acid structure. — 8 years ago

Feels and tastes a bit like a cab but this Shiraz is easy and enjoyable drinking. Very approachable wine. Having a wonderful 2nd year anniversary with my boo. — 9 years ago
Really enjoyed the fruit, acid and tannins all working well together in this wine. $50 is a little high price point… I try to stay away from new world cab, but finding good producers like this is fun. — 4 years ago
Still my favorite Chardonnay! I prefer it over all others and compare all others to Frank Family Chardonnay! Todd Graff, winemaker is an artist - from Chardonnay to Cabernet, Petit Sirah to Sangiovese. Crisp, citrus, delightful. — 6 years ago
Reminds me of an Oregon Chardonnay. — 7 years ago
I bought a case of this after a visit to the Walla Walla winery. It smells of fresh apples and has a creamy soft finish in the mouth. Not just your fly by night white.... — 8 years ago
