Dark tawny brown in colour. Strong molasses/cane earthy smoky aromas. A brilliant palate of Caramel, molasses - a fluid mellifluous palate, so smooth it doesn’t show its 47.5% ABV. Aged in Double charred Oak Barrels. A marvellous Rum from Guatemala - love the raffia basket weave around the base of the bottle - great presentation. — 6 years ago

I love Zacapa, but for my palate, the 23 year is more of what I'm looking for. We've owned this, once. The 23 is a regular buy, it's also less expensive, in the US.

That was the end of a litre bottle Severn. Now will open an 18 year old Flor de Cana from Nicaragua. Love these Central American and Cuban Rums.
