See my previous notes. Sven always works at the edge. Excellent and classic Pinot - the way it should be made. Looks light in the glass. But this carries a serious punch some whole cluster, some cherry 🍒 - but mostly other berries…cranberry and elderberry. Chalky and tart - excellent tannin management. If you consider yourself a Pinot expert - this should be on your bucket list. (Sourced by Lyle Fass). — 2 days ago
Fresh for 10 years. Plenty of tannins. Hint black olives, dark fruit, blueberry, faint touch of pepper. Needs at least 60 min of air. — 9 days ago
Better and more costly than the standard red - still not great. — 2 days ago
The companion for my wife’s salad at the Liguria themed dinner club get together in Del Mar. No one made the effort to actually get wine from the region. Only Kermit Lynch in Berkeley carries wines from this region in the US? From pre-phylloxera 130 old vines. — 2 days ago
After i had the 2020 vintage just had to try another vintage of this wine from this producer which happens to be an excellent Riesling address - but this is a Chard. Super aromatic, daffodils, chamomile, meyer lemon 🍋, white peach. 12.5%. Dry. But still - because it is so aromatic comes across fruit driven. Needs 30 min of air. — 9 days ago
This really does have Chambolle character. See Lyle’s notes. Light in color, bright, some tea notes but for the most part beautiful fruit, touch cherry, raspberry, citrus… and very soft tannins - days later under my Argon line- faint prune plum. Wouldn’t age this - it is perfect now! — 12 days ago
Starter at our Liguria themed dinner club get together in Del Mar. No one made the effort to actually get wine from the region. Just Kermit Lynch in Berkeley carries wines. Tasted like filtered through an old sock! And remained stinky and eggy. — 2 days ago
Sometimes it is mid week and you just feel like a 100$++ burgh is the thing you need. Seriously- why even share. Drank 1/2 of the bottle. Getting better with each sampling over the years. Might be my last bottle. What a wine - 🍷. Big broad cherry 🍒 nose. In the glass so refined and clean. Orange rind. Hint of cherry. Slate. Plenty of tannins left - still this is at its peak - drink up. — 5 days ago

Just showed up. Yes Lyle will kill me whenever we meet - for not letting this sit. Very classy and clean, crunchy, 🍏, green apple, white peach, lemon, 🍋 faint sour underripe raspberry (yes), quite acidic, juicy and drinkable, just 11% and dry. This will over time turn into a textbook example of Kabinett a benchmark wine. Try again in 5 years! 9.4 (for now). — 22 minutes ago
