Really interesting to try this with Kloof Street both from The W.O. Swartland - this was a little nicer than the Kloof Street - little more fruit melon honey spice

Poker night with the guys. It’s not quite the same as the real thing, but it’s the best we got right now.
The musk of soil. A sort of fresh sea vitality.
Nice medium body, fresh carbonation. Complex notes of lemon rind, grapefruit, mint, and guava. I can’t decide if the rice vinegar kick at the end is good or eh.

This was my first introduction to SA Chenin, and it set the bar for most of the past year. I’d probably consider it my house wine for when you want to give white wine drinkers something to chew on. Great wine, great value!
