Tried a few years ago, tasting great now. Founded in 1998, Achaval-Ferrer is a team of friends who make great wines. Was lucky enough to get a taste of this beauty again. Deep Ruby with aromas of fresh berry fruits with complex spice and floral notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and rich blackberry with tobacco and cacao. Sweet fine soft tannins, long finish, well balanced with acidity ending with mineral, spice and berry fruit character. Tasting Sample.

I believe this is the last of my A-F tastings, interesting fact, that all of their wines are bottled without fining or filtering. There is additional risk in this, but they prefer not to strip the wine of subtle flavors & aromas. Very dark red with aromas of black fruits, floral spice & hints of sweet notes. Layers of fruit, lively acidity, espresso & toasty notes, good balance. Fine tannins, lingering, with earthy mineral character.

One of my favorite wines on the planet. An intoxicating perfume of complicity, followed by Ecstasy in your mouth, it melts on your tongue, then it's gone. I can say no more. It's a fantasy in itself
