Jan 1st, 2016Alban Estate 13' A bouquet of flowers & slate on the nose. A massive amount of depth! It's got everything going on. Citrusy flavors, floral flavors, minerality, & a splash of spice. Just the right blend of acidity. I do believe another year in the bottle would certainly help. It would also help with a 30 min decanting. I have to say it's a can't miss!! The best Viognier I've had from California! Drink over the next 6/8 years.

Split opinion on if this was corked. I didn't get that, but got some petrol aromas and spicy citrusy. Very opulent.

Gorgeous orange/gold color. Aromatic honey nose and a slightly oily resinous aromatic creamy honey taste. Holds up beautifully in the glass. Thanks for bringing Jeff!

Nicely evolving. Will be interesting to see what happens to these with further age. Pairs well with piping hot bread freshly made by Jen.
