"Gerine" Côte Rôtie Syrah Viognier

So perfect for a cold Sunday night. Bright, granite driven, deep and super pure. Mostly red fruits, olive and florals. Sweetness on the finish very restrained. So fine. Florals, olive and black fruited nose. Stunning.

Stunning nose. Super floral with compelling violets and gorgeous deep red berry fruit. So pure and so deep. Some unreal leather on the very high toned nose. Just so aromatic. Juicy and so clean with unreal vivacity and generous fruit and wonderful suppleness. So pure and elegant. So energetic and well made. Just perfectly ripe tannins and insane freshness and energy.

stunning nose. floral and feral, gorgeous earthy sweetnes, berry fruit and super complex, purple flowers, spice and what a juxtaposition between sweet very fruit, wild, sweet and fragrant flowers and just stunning cooling sweet CR fruit and earthy old school sweetness. Wow it’s like JM stephan but not natural, bbq. Amazing nose! is this nose a 9.7? yes! palate is supple and silky and ripe but energetic and fresh with inner mouth aromas and awesome juiciness. silky and juicy and classic 21 freshness and ripe tannins and inner mouth florals, juicy and meaty. in empty glass this is stunning stuff, complex, floral and layered. @Delectable Wine this is Gerine.

A great bottle. Lavender, earthy-smoke, leather, raspberry, apricot, etc. Complex aroma that I was trying to figure out what else there was, and kept changing. Decanted for a few hours. Fun and fine wine.

Fantastic, intense nose of dark fruit, granite, iron, meat with an insane floral lift of dried apricot which I’m assuming is the viognier. Palate with good acid, typical northern Rhone Syrah profile of meat, lavender, granitic bite. A lot going on; tannins are not that evident after a 1.5 hr decant.
