2011 vintage in early Dec 2017 ($19 at Liner& Elsen Dec 2017). A lot of wine for the money. Outperforms most Langhe Nebbiolos.

Dec 23rd, 2017Has the basic notes of nebbiolo (tar, tobacco, earth, cherry), but not complex like a Barolo or Barbaresco. It was enjoyable, and good value at $16.

This is a nice light-to-midweight Nebbiolo for weeknight drinking. There's just a touch of VA on the nose. The palate is all about tart red cherries and brown spices, and leads to a short but clean finish. Not one for the cellar but should be enjoyable at the dinner table over the next few years.

A great expression of classic Nebbiolo. Light-bodied, yet complex. I'm going to have to try more from this producer.
