I absolutely love the Chateau Guildford Cellarbrations in Guildford - there's always something interesting on offer. I don't know who their buy is, but they're good! I found this $15 French bubbles in their fridges recently and thought we'd give it a go.
I haven't come across this wine before so I was straight on google doing my homework. I found out it's from the Burgundy region of France which means it'll be made from 100% Chardonnay - it's a Blanc de Blancs, so seeing as in Burgundy they grow Chard and Pinot, it only leaves one option 😜
So what was it like? A golden sand colour on the eye with delicate bubbles. The nose has a lovely floral perfume mixed with citrus, nuts and freshly churned butter. In the mouth it's smooth, peachy and has a bit of a savoury bite to it. For under a twenty, I'm not complaining!
