This is the Estate Pinot Noir. Comparing the two Bass Phillip Estates from the same vintage, 2018. This Pinot Noir is sappy and savoury on nose and palate. Light to medium bodied, red fruited. A little too much acid for the available fruit with the 2018 vintage. This wasn’t one of the better BP Estate Pinot Noirs, and I have had many. Still enjoyable in the lighter spectrum. Had another bottle 18 weeks on 1st August 2024. This was a better showing. Very sappy. Typically good Bass Phillip. Will cellar for a few more years. 90+ points this time.
