This is an excellent Chardonnay keeping pace with Bass Phillip’s Premium Pinot Noir. That has not always been the case but this certainly is. Stone fruit and honeycomb with a creamy texture and medium plus intensity on the palate. Enough acid to warrant having the last bottle later in the year or early in 2027.

Catching up on wines we have had since returning from the Henschke weekend. Brief notes. A seashell note in amongst the stone fruit (peach and nectarine) honeysuckle and warm stone. A layered highly textural wine. Very good and what you would expect from Bass Phillip. The first of 3. Next in a year or two.
