Extremely smooth finish with a subtle spice. It has a lot of flavor but not too bold. I would be happy to buy a bottle of this at a restaurant for $32 - $40. The retail was about $16 which was a pretty good deal.

Nice grocery store wine with a heavy taste of plums and a little hint of tobacco. Dry as I would expect.

At first it was kinda bitter. Yes is oaky, and dark. Is good but not great for me.
