Strong sweet black licorice smell. I don't like licorice but this smells great. Has a nice bite with smoky overtones. Pretty smooth and has a nice tart blueberry finish with a mix of cherry. It kind of has a slight merlot feel but has more body than a merlot. I'm not convinced on it yet since it was a $30 bottle of wine. There is a lot of other wines out there that are better for the price

Nice Knights Valley: dark cherry with light smoky overtones. Very soft, blueberry finish. Pretty.
