Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Better than the 06. Very silky and remains youthful and deep. Not complex at all, but delicious. I still don't get the hype with these wines.

Showing beautiful notes of its age. Fruit playing back in the mix, nuances coming nicely to the forefront. Red fruit, leather, cigar box. Drinking beautifully.

Secondary flavors are stronger than the last time I had this 3 years ago. Earth and leather and black tobacco join up with dried cranberries, mocha and blackberry jam. I only got a small glass because I was sharing but I really wish I'd been able to decant this sucker.
