I typically love Chalk Hill wines, but this Chardonnay wasn't very appealing at all. This wine was so acidic that it totally suppressed any flavor from the fruit This is the lowest rating I have ever given a wine, but I was being generous when I rated it the way I did. Devoid of any redeeming qualities, this tangy, acid bomb is a complete failure.

Popcorn butter upfront, but still fresh and clean. Yellow apple with a touch of mango. Minerality is present but not overpowering.

2012; crystals forming already? Not complaining but a stale Chard. Missing crispness. True California Chard. No acid, all oak. Looking for more "freshness".
