Château de Courteillac
Red Bordeaux Blend
Bordeaux, France
This wine was a great surprise, at only $13.75, it was well balanced, smooth with sweet notes.

Half bottle. Best of the six in a mixed wooden box, but not good. Dark red color. Caramel, dark cherries, plums, and sweet alcohol on the nose. High tannins and more Italian than French. Lacks flavor. Short finish.

May 10th, 2020Ruby in the glass with a moderate violet tint. Black cherries and graphite on the nose, with a slight bell pepper spice at the end. Red cherries, blackberries and liquorice flavours lead into a smooth finish. Fruit forward with high acidity makes for a balanced glass that feels lighter than it should.
