Château La Croix Taillefer
Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend
Pomerol, Libournais, Bordeaux, France
2010 - strong alcohol smell, strong burning taste. Going to let it breath 1-2 hrs to see if it gets any better.

Apr 1st, 2015Beautiful. Needs decanting but once it's caught it's breathe this is a beauty. Strong heady scents of everything wonderful about Bordeaux wine. Was fantastic with a fatty cut of slow cooked lamb.

Jan 30th, 2015Reasonably good Pomerol at decent price. 2010 vintage still very young and needs a lot of breathing. Cherries and subtle oak with lots of tannin.

Tea and black currant. Wonderfully balanced tannins, dry and earthy. Requires substantial aeration, at least 45 minutes. Perfect accompaniment with steak.
