Santa Maria Valley, Central Coast, California, USAAfter a few hours open: Looks like Nebbiolo. Menthol on the nose and some peppery spice, pencil shavings a bit. Tart red fruit and serious umami meatiness like iberico ham. Tannins aren’t overpowering, but haven’t had a younger bottle so I guess its the age? I want more of this.
