After cooking most of the day, this was calling. One of my favorite Barolo producers. Double decanted. It was everything it’s cracked up to be. Elegant. Complex. Easy and suggestive. Just a pleasure.

I know, I know...too young. Even so, the 2012 is fabulous. Especially delicate and fine today...

A beautiful wine that is consistent with the many notes posted from the prior case opened. Still very youthful that will have a long life ahead.

Have not tired many of these but know Burlotto is highly regarded. Initially, very fruity, carbonic maceration style to be expected... not so fruity to be confused with Gamay. 30 mins later, this became more serious in both fragrance with cherry, rose, and spice with tannins kicking in, adding a nice frame around the juicy flavors. Definitely a lighter approach to Nebbiolo, yet one that is quite enjoyable.

This has always had an elegant & floral style with red cherry & strawberry, baking spices, violets & rose petal. Still so youthful but hard to resist opening.

Can not keep my hands off of this wine. The most Burgundian of Barolo. Potpourri of strawberry, wild flowers & spices. Even better with a few more years but so tempting now.
