Dark reddish purple, opaque. Tight nose even with more air. Floral nose with notes of red fruit, roses, earth, some spice, tree bark and a little bit of menthol. Nicely balanced in the mouth. Fruit matches structure with a pleasant finish. Still mostly primary. Needs more time to gain some complexity.

Typical traditionally made Barolo. Slightly astringent straight from the bottle but with about of air comes into its own. Beautifully balanced. Love it

Wow nose, knocked me over with pine tar, resiny leather and sour cherry. Layers of interesting flowers (lavender, roses) and restrained power. Deep and delineated dark red fruit. Very ready after 45 min decant. Superb. Note: 1 of 3 bottles was off with a funk that blew off the other 2 good ones, but just persisted on the 3rd.
