A wine being hawked by a big box wine store. Not sure why “Reserve” is put on a $13 wine?? Found a ‘16 left, past it’s prone. Aromas of berry and smoky earthy notes. Tart Cherry and tart plum flavors with sharp pepper spice and earthy herbal notes. Rugged tannins makes it difficult to enjoy. Needs a big food dish. Past it’s prime.

04/25/20 @ totalwine (16.99). Enjoyed with steak dinner. Light fruit light finish. Very smooth and tasty for price.

Big Malbec in every way. Big nose, dark fruits on the palate and a hint of spice on the finish.
