Concentrated deep dark fruit with lots of spicy notes. Long, long, long finish. I loved the depth of the wine.

A poor showing from one of Australia's Shiraz icons reflecting a poor 2011 vintage. No bronze medal here. 15.5.

Dark inky purple colour with pepper and alcohol on the nose. We did a double decant and left this 2011 (drunk in spring 2017) to breathe for 3-4 hours. Yet this was still somewhat punchy even with a spicy pizza. Somewhat drying and sour but with a nice wine hidden thereafter, frustratingly. Given the price tag I cannot recommend this.

A far better showing than when I had this last year. Age has done it well. Much more brambly on the nose. There is still restricted fruit on the palate, with notes of underripe blackberry and blueberry. Cedar and leather also. Tannins much better integrated this time around as well.
