For a 1979, still had some nice cherry leather and menthol with a touch of acidity, and of course; that crushed rock finish. Very food friendly, a great experince.

This was a tannic monster at release. It's now a dark, lovely and balanced cab still not over the hill.

Nov 14th, 2016A miracle! Vibrant color- looked about 10 years old. The nose was equally fresh. Dark plums, minerals. Leather on the palate. The only thing off about it was a little spike of acidity on the palate. Hats off to one of the early masters.
