another reason to LOVE the 2022 vintage from Burgundy ~ @domaineberthelemot might have bottled the clearest looking and cleanest tasting Corton Charlemagne I’ve encountered ~ it has richer notes of honeysuckle, biscuit & a hint of vanillin, but it blossoms w lime, kiwi, peach, apricot and the faintest crushed stone sensation towards the finish ~ this is a “bring to the beach bottle” or “poolside w a seafood soirée sipper!”

Solid Corton-Charlemagne (we strayed from our go to Chablis). Well structured, hint of lemon, but somehow lacked the “wow” factor (or we are become really picky? 🤔 )
Nevertheless, a delightful lunch.
