Clos de la Mouchère Monopole Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay

Strong oak- reduced with matchsticks and punchy fruit. No shrinking violet this. Punchy and great balance.

Very nice and rich.

Nice and fat with a doe of sulfur still.

Magnum...not mad at it

Reduced? A bit of what feels like tannic grip. Oak yet to be fully integrated? Enjoyable, but seems unready to do its thing just yet.

Barely drinkable for me. Just isn't what I'm digging in white burg right now. Too much oak as well.

From magnum it was tired and a bit oxidized. Later firmed up and became more caramel, but never great. 5 years past prime. 2009
