Domaine Perrot-Minot
La Richemone Vieilles Vignes Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir
Nuits St. Georges, Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, France
I agree with Elizabeth: there’s a chunk of wood in the 2009, and little acid remains. For those that like tertiary Burgundy’s with mushroom, tobacco, black tea, and dark cherries, this should be right up your alley. A slight disappointment for one of the top producers.

Juicy overripe red fruits and old wood, quite savory, right amount of acidity but also quite tannic. Was expecting more complexity and liveliness.

This powerful producer took 2 hours to open up, but still too young to open.

Very young but expressive - red plum skin, crushed dried herbs & flowers, light stem-spice. Great structure; would love to taste again in 10 yrs.
